We are a collective of like-minded artists with a passion for film.
I’m passionate about making beautiful videos and telling the story of your special day. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of being involved with countless video productions from indie band music videos to major Hollywood blockbusters and have loved every second behind the camera. My favourite part of wedding filming is being able to capture those magical and fleeting moments that people often miss during the day… It’s the candid stuff that draws me in. I look forward to sharing your special day with you.
My inspiration for filming comes from my own wedding. After sharing my own wedding video with friends, one of the most common comments was for other brides to express regret that they didn’t hire a wedding videographer for their wedding. I want every bride to be able to afford to have those beautiful and lasting memories which only film can capture.
I come from a wedding photography background and I love that I can use the same creative ideas as part of producing a wedding film. I love to capture the in-between moments of a wedding: the stolen kisses and the cheek-to-cheek dancing, the children playing and chucking tantrums. But I also like the big, bold, shiny moments, like the scramble for the bouquet toss, the first kiss, and the look on your faces as you say “I do”. My favourite part of being a photographer is the people and their stories. And there is no bigger love story than a wedding!
Film first became a hobby through live music events and capturing the moment when they happen instinctively between musicians or between them and their audience. Wedding ceremonies are similar as we aim to capture those tiny little moments in time when a knowing look between bride and groom says that they both know this is the beginning of a whole new phase of their life together as a married couple.
The best thing about filming weddings are the candid moments. As filmmakers, we live for those small moments between friends and loved ones, be it the straightening of a tie, a comforting hand, or even a look across the room. A wedding day is something to be cherished for years, and even generations to come, and it is always a pleasure and a privilege to be a part of that process.
Coming from a photojournalism background, the part of cinematography I love the most is being able to apply all of the skills I learned over the years as a photographer to capture and create moving visuals that vastly exceed the narrative limitations of a single still image. Similarly, my love for wedding cinematography lies in being able to utilise every part of my skillset on what is often considered to be the most important day of any two people's lives. Capturing uniquely beautiful moments between two people; capturing genuine displays of love and affection; that's why I love filming weddings.
"Photography must seize upon this moment and hold immobile the equilibrium of it." - Henri Cartier Bresson
I have been editing wedding videos for the last 7 years. I love being able to use my skills and get creative with images to tell and share a story. Often at weddings not everyone can attend so its very rewarding knowing that I can recreate the day not just for the bride and groom but for their family and friends to enjoy as well.
